If you are a business that uses a static IP address or your target for scanning is a web domain you can schedule recurring scans on your portal.
Note: Don’t use this option if you have a dynamic IP address. Dynamic IP means your internet address changes regularly. Since it changes regularly, the address you have today probably won’t be the same the next time you scan, so it won’t be identified with your business.
To set up your scan schedule – first you will need to create a group and add the IP addresses to that group. Once created you will then need to set up the scan schedule for that group.
To do this, on the main dashboard in the “Be scan compliant” widget select “Manage”.
From here, select the “Manage multiple Domains / IP addresses” option.
Select “Add a group”.
Next name the group, so you can easily identify it.
Then select “Static IP addresses / domains only” option.
Your newly created group will display on the main “Manage Group Scanning” tab.
Next you need to add your static IP address(es) or web domain(s) to complete the set-up of your group..
To do this:
- Select the three dots associated with the group under “Action” .
- Select “Edit group”.
- Select “Add new item”. You will need to do this for each IP address and/or web domain.
- From the dropdown - select the MID (merchant account numbers) that this IP address is associated with and input a description. If you have multiple MIDs and need to schedule several scans, make sure you match each MID to the correct IP address/web domain. You may have just one MID that covers all your payment methods. Or you may have a separate MID for each of the ways your customers can pay.
- Click “Submit”.
You can now set up your recurring scan by clicking “Schedule”.
Select the group that you are setting the schedule up for.
Select the scan date for your first scan.
You can set up your recurring scan schedule to run either Quarterly or Monthly by choosing the option under “Scan Type”.
Future scans will be scheduled based on your first scan date. You’ll receive an email reminder before each scan runs.
Once complete, review the rest of the information. Ensure and confirm that our scan IP addresses will be granted access to scan your IP address(es) so the scans run successfully. Finally, select “Schedule Scan”.
