What is MFA?
MFA (Multi-factor Authentication also known as two-factor authentication or 2FA) is an authentication method that adds a layer of protection to the sign-in process.
In addition to the username and password - MFA requires an additional verification code.
You will need an authenticator app to get set up. The most common authenticator apps are Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator and Authy, and they're free to download from your preferred mobile app store.
Only you (the user) can enable MFA while logged into your account - your support team cannot do this for you.
Here are the steps:
- Click on the person icon from the menu bar at the top and select “Account”.
- Click on “Enable MFA” next to the “Multi-factor authentication (MFA) preferences”.
- Scan the QR code using your preferred authenticator app.
- Enter the verification code provided on the authenticator app.
After you have successfully entered your username and password a verification code is required. The verification code is required each time you log in.
